My Favorite Things

Hi Beanzies!

I’m doing my March post because I can’t be trusted to post anymore.

Here are some of my favorite things!

This was my delicious hipster/hippy/trendy? Idk which, breakfast this morning! I need more antioxidants and omegas in my diet and this has both! It’s a banana, strawberry, mango, blueberry acai bowl with raw walnuts and hemp seeds on top. It’s very delicious and filling! I wish I had a better blender (I use my food processor) but it will do for now!

Kitties lounging in the sunshine. A forever favorite.

Banana for scale

This post wouldn’t exist without my new washing machine. It holds… so much stuff. We would normally need to do two or three loads to do all of our towels in our old washer. WE CAN DO THEM ALL AT ONCE. We could barely fit our quilt in our old washer and WE CAN WASH THAT AND A SET OF SHEETS AND HAVE ROOM TO SPARE – MY LIFE IS GOOD.

These two perscription medications have changed my face. For the past two+ weeks of using these together, my face has done a 180. I have better skin right now than I think I’ve ever had before. I’ve had two spots since using these to products whereas before, I was getting a new spot daily. I’m so so happy and grateful and I keep thinking to myself “Is this my life? Is this my skin?” Eep!

Lastly, my adorable kimono (I hate that they’re called that. They’re not a Kimono, they’re thin cardigans). It’s so cute and I love the siloette it gives me 🙂

LASTLY for real, there a two things I couldn’t get pictures of. One is Beauty and the Beast. That movie was FREAKING AMAZING! And also my bidet. My bidet is life altering and everyone who doesn’t have one is a peasant scum. My butt is sparkling.

Hi Steffibun! Last Tuesday was a beautiful day when I received this in the mail! Thanks to Jamie, I had a credit and I needed new tops for work so I went ahead and ordered one. I bought everything in my last box when I asked for all sleeveless tops. This time I ordered all sleeved shirts. This is what they sent me!

From top left to bottom right:

Vidal Henley Blouse – this was too big so I didn’t keep it.

Londonderry Henley Blouse – this preppy style was adorable but it was just a bit too see through.

Ervin Cutout Detail Blouse – I kept this! The material is super light and I love the color.

Piazon Scallop Detail Blouse – I kept this one too. The sleeves are see through!

Lisbon Stud Detail Blouse – the shoulders are puffy so I wasn’t sure about it at first but the color and studs got me. I kept it!

Shopping Spree: A New Bag

Hello Bean,

I bought a new bag! But Steffibun, you just bought such a cute and wonderful bag from Modcloth. Yes, Keddahbean, you’re correct. But that cute and wonderful bag’s shoulder strap broke, which caused me much heartbreak. When I contacted Modcloth’s customer service to tell them what happened, they didn’t have any stock of the bag (it’s back in stock now of course) and just refunded me the cost of the bag. Which was kind – but I was a bit sad. So I decided to buy a new bag when I found one I liked. And I did. At Target. For 36 doll hairs.

I love this bag so much. And since I’m only ever wearing neutrals again (fuck colors), this bag goes perfectly with my non-aesthetic.

❤ See you Tuesday!

New bag!

Hi Keddah!

Before we get into things 1) my phone auto corrects Keddah to be capitalized and I think that’s just so considerate.

2) I’m doing a book challenge on our Instagram. For those who aren’t following us, click the link here! Books are fun and cool and pretty.

And speaking of books, 3) I finished Lindsey Stirling’s book The Only Pirate at the Party in a day (from start to finish it was 25 hours but it only took me around 7-6 to read it). It was lackluster. It read like a children’s book – hence the quick reading. Joseph brought me it to read because (and he didn’t know this) – I wanted to test out a theory that has been wildly speculated. Not everyone on YouTube has lived a life worth putting into book form. And guess what it’s true. I gave it a 2 out of 5 on Goodreads. I also read The Story of My Teeth by  Valeria Luiselli. It was a good book but not my kind of good book. I gave it a 3 out of 5 on Goodreads. So this puts me at 24/50 books read for my 101 challenge, 5/20 books read this year and 2/12(? 11?) books read towards our book challenge! I’m nailing this.

But this post is really about my new bag! (Which isn’t very new at all shhh)

This bag is a wonderfully constructed medium sized bag. It holds all my necessary things, doesn’t make me carry so much stuff that my shoulder is dying by the end of the day, holds its form, and isn’t too small that nothing fits in it. Plus, it was from Modcloth and therefore reasonably priced!

so tidy!

On weekdays, it carries: a book, my 3DS XL, my wallet, work keys, a lip stick, whip stick, gum, a hair tie and a sock. A sock? It was in there because I 1) hadn’t cleaned it out and 2) was holding my menstrual cup in it but makes for a 3) very handy glasses cleaner.

On weekends I substitute the book and 3DS for my sunglasses case. It’s a really wonderful bag, my third from Modcloth, and I know I will get a lot of wear out of it.

I hope you had a great week! See you NEXT WEEKEND WOOO!!!

PS your post last week nearly killed me. Stoping and starting my heart like that when I’m totally unprepared is NOT NICE okay it was so nice it was the nicest and I loved it and you alright bye.

What the Oscars Taught Me About Our Friendship

Dearest Steffibun,

I had so much fun watching the Oscars with you on Sunday! Thank you for indulging me and my slight obsession. Here’s the things I loved about us watching the show together.

  1. You drove last minute to your mom’s house just to watch because you felt like you were missing out on something in MY life. What did I ever do to deserve you? *uglycrying*
  2. We become lesbians. Exhibit one. Rachel McAdam’s leg.
88th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals
    Exhibit two. Galadriel.

Exhibit three. Kate is such a babe in her water/metal dress.

  3. We don’t even have to speak words to convey our feelings.
  4. Leo & Kate OTP.

  5. Here comes our favorite part. What does this have to do with our friendship? Because you read the first sentence as a line from PatF.

Also I just wanted to say how unbelievably excited I am that Leo won his Oscar!! I know the whole internet is happy, but I am especially happy. He has been my favorite since I was 9 years old. I still have this book about him that I used to write a book report; you know, the fancy kind with the page protectors. I even used the cover for a portrait project in art class. The pages are falling out, but I will keep it forever. I love you Leo!

And I love you too, Steffi! Bye!

A Birthday Fix

Hiya Steffibun! THANK YOU SO MUCH for my awesome birthday card. I’m glad you made me wait until I woke up on my birthday to read it. I almost choked on my cereal.

My 5th stitch fix is here! I haven’t ordered one in a while, but I thought I’d get myself some new work tops for my birthday. So I specified tops only, no animal prints and loose fit; here’s what I got!

Willard Lace Overlay Blouse from Brixon Ivy
LOVE this.

I did ask for colors haha. It looks really nice all dressed up.

Talar Split Neck Top from Skies are Blue
This is super comfy and easy to dress up.

Mavina Floral Print Keyhole Detail Tank from Loveappella
This fits PERFECT. I love the color on me and it’s really soft.

Dawney Scallop Trim Blouse from 41Hawthorn
It’s hard to get a good photo of this one; it’s navy blue. The arm gaps are little big but I couldn’t resist the scallop detail!

And of course they give me a handy guide on how to style everything.

Stitch Fix #4

Hi Steffi, this will be my last fix for a few months because I need to catch up on sorting through my clothes. I’ve been terrible at getting rid of something when I get new stuff. This fix wasn’t as exciting, but I still kept a couple things.

May Chevron Print Knit Back Top – I love the color and print and it’s really lightweight. I’m keeping it!

Parvin Reversible Tote – It would be great for travel, but I can find something less expensive if I really needed to buy one.

Renesme Geo Print Faux Wrap Dress – This is so comfy! I’m keeping it!

Manna Tie Front Knit Top – The tie in the front is cute, but I don’t need any more dark blue tops.

Nixie Wide Leg Pant – These are a little crazy, but super comfy. If they weren’t too big and wide at the bottom they would make great yoga or sleep pants.

Sorry for the short post, I should have a post-con recap next week! 🙂
