101 in 1001 Complete!

Hello Steffibuns!

August 23rd marked the end of my 101 in 1001 challenge. I’m proud of myself for keeping up with this for 3 years, let alone complete 74 tasks. (I’m counting #14. Go camping, because we’re going this weekend. idec.)

Start date: November 26, 2013
Tasks completed: 74/101

Which task(s) are you most proud of?
#18. Make a few things to sell on an Etsy shop. I have gone so far beyond this with K Hook Creations. I am so proud!

#66. Run in a fun 5k. I think back on that race and how hard it was and I’m so proud of us for finishing it!

Which one(s) are you most disappointed you didn’t finish?
#17. I can’t believe it’s been 3 years since I’ve worked on my Disney scrapbook. I did make some progress on the HP one, but it’s far from done.

#21. I was so close to nailing the crow pose a couple of years ago, but I stopped going to yoga class.

Is there a task you’re going to complete anyway?
#49. I will complete the Harry Potter Top 200 quiz. Someday.

Are you going to make another list?
It was really fun checking these things off as we completed them! I’ll take a break before trying to come up with 101 new tasks though.

Reasons

Hello Steffibuns!

So I know you probably hate Disney right now – for very legitimate reasons. I honestly thought it was a joke – or at least not real – when you told me that they are getting rid of Tower. But that is not to say I don’t want to go this year. Because I think we should. And here are the reasons why:

  1. We need another lazy Disney day. I know we can’t ride the train or watch Aladdin the whole time, but we can sit on Main Street with ice cream.
  2. We could take over Astro Blasters again.
  3. We could ride Casey Jr over and over again and pretend that we’re on the real train.
  4. PICKLES.
  5. We could ride Tower one more time; yell Hogwarts and scream too early one more time.
  6. The goat.
  7. We COULD watch the wonderful world of caaaah-lahhhhh!
  8. I’d say Pokemon hunting, but you don’t play. But I’ll say it anyway. Pokemon hunting.
  9. The smell of Pirates.
  10. Going one year without going to Disneyland with you is something that’s never happened since 2009. I don’t know about you, but I’m not a quitter.

That being said, we will be in Tokyo Disney this year so we couldn’t beat ourselves up too much about not going.

Reading update: SHAME. I need to read twice as hard this week!

One Line A Day 2015

I filled out my second year in my five-year memory book. I left 3 days blank on accident this time, oops. Here’s some of the highlights from my 2015!

January 10: Disneyland trip with Hannah, Derek, Nikki & Matt. Hannah’s first time!
January 19: Geek & Sundry is following me!
January 31: Passed my real estate state test! Went to Get Air and I did a front flip!
February 5: Grayson deadlifted 475 lbs!
February 14: Kyle got me 20 Disney movies for my birthday!
February 21: Went to find a wedding dress with Steffi! She tried on a huge cupcake dress as a joke and she loved it. She looked like Charlotte from PatF 🙂
March 4: Wished Kyle and Joyce a happy birthday and I beat Pikmin 3.
March 8: 2nd day of Wild Wild West Con. I had Brian Kesinger sign my copy of Big Hero 6 and I gave him a dancing baby Groot to congratulate him on his new comic!
March 15: Went to Ren Fest again. I met Jessica Nigri!!!
April 5: Dyed eggs and had a delicious dinner with my family. Me and Kyle played Goof Troop while Grayson was the peanut gallery. “Hands down Goofy!”
April 15: Went to the Welcome to Night Vale show. So crazy seeing Cecil speak!
April 17: Drove to California for Kyle’s Disneyland birthday trip. We checked into our tiny hotel with sketchy parking at 1am and of course the room key didn’t work. Of course!
April 20: Grayson has shingles! 😦
May 9: Spent time catching up and laughing with Jodie, Cassie and Savanna. Savanna leaves for Montana soon, I’ll miss her!
May 31: Last day of Comicon. I got my Harry Potter stars tattoo!
June 30: Got our new puppy!! He doesn’t have a name yet, but he’s so adorable!
July 17: Happy 60th birthday Disneyland! I fly out tomorrow!
July 29: Ludo is still peeing overnight and pretty much all the time. He drinks too much water!
August 11: Indiana vacation! Went tubing on the lake and Kyle lost his suit. “I lost everything!”
August 15: Happy birthday Grayson! We went to Melissa’s wedding and had a bonfire where Kyle drank too much beer and failed Kevin’s sobriety tests haha.
October 10: Woke up at 4:30am to drive to Vegas with Steffi & Andrew.
October 23: Flew to LA, I booked a creepy hotel so we stayed at the fancy wedding hotel instead. Katie & Andrew’s rehearsal dinner ❤
November 22: Went to the Bengals/Cardinals game, I saw 2 touchdowns right in front of me! I had a sore throat from all the yelling.
December 2: Drove to Disneyland on a bus for Steffi’s wedding! It takes 3 Disney movies to get there.

Another 4 Disney trips last year. How many did you do?

DIY Harry Potter Wreath

Hi Steffi, I accomplished some goals this weekend! I pretty much ignored what I normally do/need to do on the weekend and I spent my time doing only things that I could cross off my list. Here’s what I did!

#87. Make a wreath

Thanks for the ideas pinterest! Here’s how I made it:

20150926_131659Materials! I got this stuff for less than $20 and I already had the glasses, time turner, etc.

I cut strips of tulle about 2 feet long.

I tied the strips of tulle all the way around, alternating colors.

I put some craft glue on the backside to keep the tulle from undoing and sliding around the foam ring. It dries clear!

I put all the details on with craft glue and some sewing pins. TADA!

I also completed:

#63. Make a homemade pizza

#69. Make a dessert in the crock pot. Slow cooker chocolate lava cake
